my birthday. Thank You GOD for all the blessings you've blessed me with.

I have now reached the age represented by a prime number.

my birthdate is also represented by a prime number too.

I went out for lunch, neoprints and a little bit of shopping with 5 of my best friends in Singapore. i got many other friends who can't make it. Marie, MT and dear twin MP walked with I to United square to meet Eli and Grace for lunch at Bakerzin. the food was a bit costly but really good. though i won't say it's the best pasta in the world, that'll be found in Italy, but it's one of the best and easiest to access in Singapore. the mushroom soup was serve in these vase-shaped v-shaped glass "bowls". i can't really describe it but it looked like a vase i have at home that you're meant to fill with water and put floating candles in. the mushroom soup was brown with a tinge of green, the proper colour of mushroom soup. I called it liquid death. i split it with MP in another bowl.

"Liquid Death. Whoever dies first wins."
that was what i told MP before we drank the soup. it was the real type of mushroom soup, unlike campbells(but that doesn't mean i don't like it. i like it quite a lot), tasted good. we all had pastas. all our pastas looked good. my spaghetti bolognaise wasn't the cheapo version with little meat and a lot of ketchup. no. mine had a lot of meat. tasted good! raffles town club's is good too. i tasted a bit of MP's which was cooked with white wine. i could taste the wine. yuck. i also don't like white sauces. sticky.

we then took MRT down to Dhoby Gaut while making our way to the NEL side, i fell down at the end of the travellator. i didn't realise i had reached the end of it and hence fell. it was a perfect comedy moment only that no one expected it and hence record it on video. it would be a priceless memory, wouldn't it?

ok. first thing we did at PS. neoprints! the 6 of us took 2 sets together, and the 3 of us sisters did one set together for the first time. the joy of having sisters your age, painful for the parents though. (just ask a parent who experiences this condition of having at least 2 teenage daughters at the same time.) i look back at the neoprints and remember the fun times we had. i recommend the COCOA machine for bright colourful photos, the ladder one in the corner for large groups and the one next to it next to the wall for smaller groups which want really good quality ones.

MT and Marie left after that. the 4 of us then went upstairs to Marks and Spencer for a bit of shopping, at the FOOD section. i bought soap for myself and soap for Dad and marmalade for yeye, and a bar of bubbly milk chocolate for Marie and Sarah, another for myself and a bag of honey roast ham chips for myself, all paid for with Mum's money, which was my birthday present. heehee! eli and grace discovered the wonderful food section of Marks and Spencer's.

we moved up to kopitiam to do the birthday cake thing since we weren't allowed to do so in Bakerzin since there they sell cakes too. company policy. we put the candles on, 1 for each of the 2 slices of cakes, thoughtfully purchased by grace and eli from Angie's the Choice, lit them with the lighter (i used a lighter like that for the first time, i like using my giant matchstick lighter), sung a very quiet birthday song, said wishes then blew out the candles. then MP and I ate the cake. it was nice, even more so knowing that my friends were very thoughtful in buying them. THANK YOU!

went to hang around in Yamaha then went home.

laze around rest a bit then went to OCBC Executive Club for dinner. It was really good! and reasonable too. $38 a person. in some places, lunch costs more than $40! we had it in this small room (note: we weren't in a restaurant. i wonder where was the kitchen) booked by my mum (her name was on the wall next to the door) and we could see the nightscape in full length windows (ok lah, not exactly full length because several panes were used in the height of the window, which was the height of the wall, ok, the WHOLE WALL was glass with the exception of metal frames.) beautiful.

now let me thank MP for letting me use her laptop in blogging, sorry i'm taking a long time cranky MP.

oh ya. Marie, eli and MP entered the fuzzy-wuzzy gang. MP says she's pEEved now. (I'm using her laptop to type out this lengthy entry)

MP typed out the bracketed bit.

BACK TO MY STORY

we had set meal of several courses with the addition of longevity noodles and egg-white puffs with red bean filling. MP and i had kong pau chicken instead of the roast pork with Tiger Beer in the set menu. it's not that i'm afraid of alcohol. is that i DON'T LIKE the taste of alcohol. remember MP's white wine spaghetti?

the chicken tasted really nice but it was SPiCY. not as bad as the Lobster Linguine on MT's birthday because i didn't drink 4 people's glasses of water including my own this time round. and they said it wasn't spicy.

just ta let ya know where i am now, i'm at SP's Staff Centre inside the restaurant called Food Haven. the food here is cheap and not too bad.

after dessert, the lights in the room dimmed. the birthday cake came in, baked by Auntie Alice who got the order on the day itself. she's brilliant isn't she? the staff and the family and Shelby sang Happy Birthday. I sang my version: Happy Birthday to You and Me. ya. that's what happens when you're a twin. don't bother singing the names too. they tried ta but got tongue-tied and skipped it. the cake was good, as usual of auntie alice.

MP reminded me of what happened when we flew to HK on our 13th birthday. we had a cake at home, a cake on the plane (it was embarrasing! auntie angela arranged it without any of us including my mum knowing and when the air stewardesses sang happy birthday, imagine the crowd's attention. EMBARRASing. wha.... that cake was REALLY GOOD. moist. not super sweet.) then in HK, another cake. and all of these cakes were not one slice one slice one, it was a full cake. hor...

Shelby gave us handbags from Xcessories when we got back. She spent so much on us! oh my... THANKS!

so that was my birthday. in a few minutes, i'll be X years and 36 hours old.

i won't blog about today because that'll drive MP up the wall onto the cloud-painted ceiling (and back down again according to her).

i'm feeling...
