HSBC treetop walk & japan trip 2006

Today Shelby, MP, KM and I followed Mum to ARR Family Day 2006. It's an outing at HSBC Tree-Top Walk with Lunch at the end.

woke up at 6.30am. beat shelby this time. dilly-dally around... at 7.45 am, i got really worried. Mum wasn't down yet, not even after i made noise at 7.30am. i went to her room, and oh-the-horror, she was still sleeping. KM as well. "Mum, it's 8 already!" Mum quickly got out of bed and got ready. we were supposed to BE THERE at 8.

we met up there, put on insect repellent (one of which was a cute small blue circle sticker) took picture then started off. i was with shelby and MP initially but they went off ahead while i was taking photos. so i was alone. ya.

less than 1km into the walk, KM couldn't take it anymore. he was panting away. had to go back. weakling. who ask him to eat so much and exercise little. (by the way, when i got back i found him playing computer, as usual.)

i just walked and walked and walked. i love nature. peaceful, tranquil, refreshing, no worries. stupid international school kids (teens). they were making SO MUCH NOISE. disturb the wildlife, and other humans. stupid. felt like shoving the signboard into their face.

there.

after a REALLY long walk, reached the bridge. i was sweaty. when i got onto the bride, fear struck. it was SO HIGH! i felt insecure because there was no solid ground DIRECTLY under me. wah...

the views were great! including the scary ones from the bottom. scary. i just felt like moving as quickly as possible to get off that very long bridge. it was a long bridge. a bee landed on my hand while i was on the bridge. i was so scared. i just don't want to get stung. last time i got stung by a wasp. hated that.

i somehow reached the rangers station before MP and Shelby. they got onto the wrong route. haha!

the walk back was much shorter than the walk to the bridge. haha.

near the carpark, the others were there already. lunch was catered by purple sage. the packaging was really nice! so was the sandwich, the proper type (this comes from a person who doesn't like sandwiches). there were kids' lunches too for the little ones and they also gave packets of tissue, designed with purple sage's name on the wrapper. it's very stylish purple packet of tissue paper.

yesterday kitty-chan went home. Miyano-san and Uncle Vincent came back yesterday morning together with SMSS. Rachel also went to Japan. she was a hero, willing to stay with the family with no other girls, no smss girl, no jap girl. but she had a great time, better than when i was there. the boy who hosted her came over to singapore when i was still in SMSS. i had a chat with her yesterday. she went to Kyoto, Osaka, Tokyo and Fuchu machino(town). wish i was there. i told uncle vincent, next time they went, and if i was free, i would follow along and help look after the SMSS girls, which can be a handful.

they bought the 3 of us yukatas!!!Kimonos!!! I'm so happy! they got it at a special price of 100 yen (super cheap). normally might be 8000 yen. i gave my jap sandals that came with the yukata to MT because i can't fit it. i'm size 9. hard to find shoes in Singapore. [by the way, i can find my size pants in gio, in the men's section.] YS, jap fan, you want my sandals?

today MT came back from sec 3 camp. they had such fun! kayaking, rock climbing, raft building, i wish i was there, but for my camp, we didn't have to pay (haha!). In addition, we planned our camp, not through external company. oh well.

fun lies ahead?

i'm feeling...
