Induction Programme continued

okok, i'm back. it's already another week!

continue...

WHAT KIND OF LUNCH IS THAT? we expected from "lunch will be provided" that we would be getting packet rice or equivalent. but BISCUITS?? I wonder what the j2s thought. did they think "poor thing" or did they go through this biscuit lunch b4 and now say "haha. now it's their turn." i don't know.

after that was mass PT (physical training aka Physical Torture). altogether, og22, and SH who came down, did a culmulative of 1000 crunches, 1000 pumpings, 500 step ups, 300 pull ups, what else? and 10 rounds at least! now you know why the day ended @ 7.30pm . so that day, 30 000 odd sit ups and pumpings have been done, imagine. whoa.

Carol from badminton was our OGL for the day. she helped us a bit to carry the water sometimes. We only had 1 bottle to carry. the other bottle already thrown away before the thing. S__ was the "water boy". haha. i understand why we had 2 5.5L bottles of water given to us now but not for the biscuits.

We had to build a structure out of 10 bamboo poles and raffia to carry someone on for the WHOLE of the PT. and who was our "chosen one"? 50kg Luke. He was on MC. The largest "chosen one". But we want everyone in OG 22 to participate, so? before crossing the bridge to the junior school, we changed our "chosen one" to Lynette. she didn't enjoy being up there. I wouldn't. It's unstable. scary.

first 2 rounds, then go to basketball court for spider web. the structure and Luke had to be passed over it. the spider web was quite easy. Then up to the tennis courts for the square thing where we had to be in a chain and step from one sqaure to another in order as the numbers on the squares. so you get a tangle of pple lah. had to wait a long time for our turn.

then another dreaded 2 rounds then to the push up station. girls 40 boys 60. painful because of the track on the knees and that i haven't done so many push ups at one shot before. the guys in our group are fit ah. can see later at different points in the entry.

2 rounds then crunches. that one i can do. 50 each.

2 rounds then the sushi belt thing. we decided to lie on our fronts and luke would crawl on our backs. wha! His knees ah! He jab them so painful into our backs! we girls shriek in pain!
after 2 rounds then something... i think... or maybe there wasn't anything.

ran across the bridge to junior school finess station. first did the step-ups. can. i had to pace the og since they kept speeding up to uncapable speeds. 25 steps each.

then the parallel bars. with assistance. meaning as long as the person's arm is straight and that the legs didn't touch the floor in between the bars it is counted. i tried but i couldn't move forwards. malu. then luke goes over, weiliang goes over. all the guys go across it so easily like it's nothing! ok lah, one slip a little bit but still?! before that SH and who kneeled down but they weren't needed. so now the guys kneel down. i try again. cannot. malu. so all the girls jump onto them and then they jump off onto the other side. Lynette sits at the side along the fence. I go last. I noticed that most of the guys used momentum to get across. i tell them to clear. so i put my arms down then swing leapt and my legs were so long that i just landed on the other side but my hands were still somewhat where it originally was. they like whoa. should have done so earlier. haha. i the attention seeker liked to receive some form of recognition. haha!

then the pull-ups. on the tall tall bars. also assisted. heehee. i stood on SH and jas 's thighs and did a lean back and forth type of pullups, ipu s, after finding out that the squat up and down was too difficult and painful to keep up. mx took over and did the rest. girls 100 guys 200 or was it 150 150. they did it unassisted. you see what i mean by they are strong?

then monkey bars. i tried doing them. i knew i could but i was too tall! during my swings, i would touch the ground! I tried and tried but kept touching the ground. the guys could go across by themselves. well mostly. weiliang just sail through 3 bars at a time. i had to be assisted. SH assisted again. sheryl broke into laughter when she was helped because it was ticklish to her.

then the iron(steel) window aka suicide window (as called in NS). it was one of 2 choices. the other choice was the high wall. i think the iron wall was easier. lynette on top of the structure had to pass over the window. while waiting for teacher, luke climbed up the rope and hit the beam. Carol commented (not exact) i thought he was on MC now climbing up and down. [like a monkey?] while still waiting, someone crossed over the iron window to show his friends. while his feet were on the middle bar, he stretched over and put one hand on the middle bar, with his other hand on the top bar. and he flipped over. i was a bit stunned. then jas commented that that was the proper way to go over that thing. it was? SH said it was. she asked how come i didn't know since she had it as basic training in guides. i don't know. i never had this basic training.

from one station to the other while at the junior school side, i helped carry lynette in her chair from one station to the other. her feet cannot touch the ground. was she forgotten or what? SH and jas piggyback her across the bridge the same way as they did to get across. i carried the chair. (you should have realised now that i like receiving credit for things i have done.)

2 rounds then up and down the gallery steps then cross the finishing line. carrying the stretcher with the person on it was so painful! ouch.

the end of PT. yay.

will continue in another entry.
