Frienship Week

On sunday, I attended church in the evening. I was early! wow! Auntie Sandra brought us there and she's helping out with sunday school. good that i'm early! had quiet time. :D the speaker was a person related to our church who is based in China. He presented on what we should do with fellow Christians from the book of Phillipians. Interestingly, that's what the NZ pastor presented today for chapel too.

encourage each other, be compassionate to one another, be kind to one another, spend time with one another and one more which has slipped my mind.

I look forward to chapel. It's a time we can praise God and worship Him and learn more about Him. On Thursday mornings, if there's chapel that morning, I look forward to it.

After church on sunday, Auntie Sandra took the 3 of us sisters and her 2 kids to Swensens, since the kids wanted to go there. Interestingly, for Sunday lunch, we had the peach garden in the same building. The baked rice was too salty. i think the french fries and MT's cream spaghetti were the best. afterall, swensens specialises in ICE CREAM. yum.

Monday, ran 2.4km trial run. i apparently ran an extra half round because i mis-counted (again). my time for 6 rounds: 16.09 minutes. 9 seconds behind teacher's target of 16 minutes. not bad! i'm the last runner to complete the running. wow.

On tuesday: spot check for our class. teacher said my skirt was short! cannot be what, since I was wearing my longer ones. And, i have a reputation for the longest skirt in school since i never altered mine. my female classmates, and maybe the male ones too, were shocked! "but then you're tall..." "look," i said and i flattened the front of my skirt, and it was clearly shown that they were at the middle of my knees. the teacher was measuring by the back of the knee by the way. a lot of girls were as a result caught for short skirts. and the boys were caught for too long hair, such as the back of the neck not being shaved, as with one classmate. my opinion for this spot check : -_-"

On Wednesday was Valentine's Day. I don't celebrate V-day so didn't make presents. HK gave simple notes and chocolate, SY gave hershey kisses, and SM, roses and chocolate and postcard messages. she really did a lot. Thanks to all!

apparently, for my friend's class, the class boys (of which there are few), bought 2 roses for each of the girls (of which there were many) and when the girls entered the classroom, the roses were already there on the tables. (aww! so sweet!)

today PE was handball. i'm quite bad at throwing. i throw in straight lines. literally very straight lines. was fun however.

over the past week, there's been music playing in the canteen. song dedications. so far, the best songs(my favourites) are: "i don't wanna close my eyes" from OST:Armageddon, 'accidentally in love' OST:Shrek, "that thing you do" from The Wonders. "Collide" was nice. YS and I share a lot of favourite songs. we stayed back in the canteen to finish listening 'that thing you do' on wednesday before heading off to do our stuff.

oh i'm tired. goodnight! tomorrow is CNY celebrations. got a lotta do! gotta wake up early!

edit @ 10.16pm, 16 February 2007, Friday.

today was cny celebrations. i was performing in cheerleading. our maiden performance, as proper cheerleaders. We did quite well, just had a few stunts not going up. my round-offs didn't form, they became ugly cartwheels. sad.

after that went to novena with shelby, eli, mp, mt and andrea grace. lunch at mos burger than shopping. i only bought one polo shirt from animal, and it was quite expensive. it better not be made in china. I thought the price was too expensive. went around the other shops to see if anything nicer, still came back to that shirt. animal is from uk so it better be made in europe. the shirt design is very nice by the way.

getting dry eyes recently. that's why cannot stay awake. i kept falling asleep in the bus but my leg would unlock and i would immediately wake up because of the falling feeling. i thought i would miss the bus stop!

i will improve my round-offs. during the break i was practicing. i got the technique wrong and coach corrected me. still gotta practice and to be able to do it with a very short preparation time. there's the cheerleading CIP coming up. there's also a cheerleading competition. don't think i'll join the competition since BT1 is immediately after that. But it'll be the last competition any j2 cheerleader would participate in.

nothing to do now, except homework i guess. bleah... don't wanna do it.

i'm feeling...
