Envisioning Education Conference & Football

what a week.

wednesday to saturday: was at Hwa Chong for Envisioning Education Conference. my group was Synergy and THERE WAS synergy within the group.

we played games on the first day after a long session of talks. zzz. nearly fell asleep. hope i didn't embarrass the school and myself.

only 4 of us from SA and all from Mrs. Chong's class. harhar. the other schools, most sent student councillors. RJ all girl councillors.

2nd Day we did feedback paper and begun our recommendation paper. we took a longer time than other groups to do our papers because we discussed them quite in-depth. we did only 1 recommendation paper whereas others did 3 or 4.

3rd Day complete recommendation paper and powerpoint presentation.

4th Day presentations and certificates and other things at the auditorium.

food was provided by Elsie's Kitchen or was it Catering? never mind, but it was nice, i think the 2nd Day's food was the best. we were told that there was going to be shark's fin on the last day. where was it?? we suspected it was on the buffet table with red skirting in the corner meant for the VIPs. since there were a small number of VIPs, we had the idea of going to help them finish the shark's fin so it won't be wasted. but it never happened.

after figuring out the stage lights backstage, we then had our own certificate of participation presentation on the stage after lunch. pose for some photos of our own then left. i hung around the piano backstage, in the blue lights. my teammate was playing the piano. it was good. i feel i'm pathetic, can't catch frisbee, can't play piano, can't do a front crawl for swimming... i feel incapacitated, incapable of doing things. nvm. so my pics that i took backstage are all blue-ish. mysterious feel to it.

saturday: went to Youth Mountain, my 2nd one, the 1st one when i was at church camp, my only church camp. it was about predestination. i now understand presbytarians better and this idea of predestination.

i'm not in any small group, i don't even attend youth's Sunday School. i dropped out. i did it and never returned out of the fear of isolation. my classmates who were all from MGS (i'm not from MGS) all skipped class because they didn't like the teacher. so i was left alone. it was a terrible feeling, anyway, i had always been alone in class during Sunday School, since pri 5 or 6 onwards i think. loner for so long. never really learnt anything. after 3 weeks in a row of this "abandoning", i quit sunday school and joined my younger sister in helping my mum in Kindy Sunday School.

i'm just so afraid to go back. i don't even know some of the songs they sing now. but i'll try, soon. this month can't because i gotta help out at sunday school. shortage of manpower.

oh. did you know, parking before 2pm at esplanade is free?

edit@11pmjust watched finished Australia vs Japan. Australia won 3-1! I initially decided to be equal to both since i got friends in both countries. and that Japan was Asian while australia holds dear to me. but i began to support Japan and i did in the end.

initially, Japan was leading 1-0 when i came to watch at the 2nd half. however, as Mrs. Lim said, in the last 10 minutes. that was referring to the Rugby Finals where we won the police cup. same went to australia. you're trailing then you come back, equalising then going beyond that. scoring in the 84th and 89th minute was Tim Cahill and in the 92nd minute was John Aloisi, compared to Nakamura's 29th minute. wow. sad. Asia!!!! Must press on!!! don't lose to the Europeans or Brazil or Argentina!!

By the way, congratulations to all the Aussies and their supporters.

i'm feeling...
